Hey there! I made this a few years ago, but to this day I love how it turned out! I hope I can make it again! I mean I can but I usually try new cake recipes. Here it is:
I didn't know how to make the cake from scratch so I cheated by using Betty Crocker Chiffon cake mix. And I don't remember the recipe I used for the cream; all I know is that I used whipped cream and sugar. In Korea this type of cream is called 생크림 and through translator it's just cream. Still it's very light sugar and fluffy. I designed this topping based on a korean cream cake picture. I think the fruits used are the same, but the design is different. It was delicious and next time I think I'll be baking the cake from scratch! Thanks for reading!

Shortcake with nutella buttercream
Hello blog viewers! I didn't have a car for a week and I was stuck in the house. So today I decided to bake a shortcake with nutella buttercream frosting! The cake recipe I used is from a Youtube channel called ochikeron. And the nutella buttercream is from this other blogsite, but I added some of my own ingredients and also changed the recipe to my liking. The topping I used is confectioner's sugar, but if I had different ones I would have used white chocolate shavings, coconut shavings, or fruits. I wanted to make a strawberry shortcake like the one that ochikeron made, but I didn't have strawberries or heavy cream. So yesterday we picked up my mom's car from the repair shop (which was the reason why I did have my car because she was using it for the time being) and we stopped at Heinen's grocery market. They can be a bit pricey like Giant Eagle, but I know I fell in love with the baking aisle because they also had ghirardelli chocolate baking bars! So I bought parchment paper and cake flour. Anyway here are the pictures of the final results!
It is actually too thin because my cake pan is 9 by 2 inches. I should have used a 6 by 3 inch pan or something. Meh, I guess there is always next time! Yum! It was good :)
